Waiting at His Door

A meditative look she has,

Hoping that he'll answer,

And give another chance for him,

To once again, romance her.

When he had come to call on her,

And accidently left his hat,

Deliberately, she did not speak,

So she could come to him, and chat.

She spent much time, so she could, plan,

For every opportunity,

To be with him, and love him so,

Even wearing her best, perfumery.

So, as she waits right by his door,

She's still, but her heart pounds loudly,

Hoping he'll be home and answer,

As she breathes a prayer, so devoutly.
