My dad is who you should expect him to be,
A father, a dad, a husband he’s all three,
My dad is a nonstop old school working kind of guy,
He won’t take no for an answer and can fix things on the fly,
My Dad has taught me more than he will ever know,
He takes the time to help me learn and grow,
When all is said and done,
As far as a dad goes there can be only one,
I hope that one day I can pass his knowledge on,
I hope that one day I can give it all to my sons,
You see that’s what Dads are for,
To be there for their kids no matter how hard the chore,
My Dad, he’ll give you the shirt off his back,
It doesn’t matter if it’s his last one, or if he has a whole sack,
You see my dad wasn’t raised not to share,
And I am sure his dad never taught him not to care,
So today I leave this note with nothing else to say,
Except thanks to a GREAT Dad and Happy Birthday!
