Empty like the Barren Branches

These trees seem to be tattered, empty and ever so broken,

Possibly like my heart feels repeatedly when your words are so easily spoken.

The leaves have all fallen off and can no longer cling to the branches,

Similar to when I am smiling and having fun soon your renting and raving about all your longing chances.

The wind blows right through the barren branches like it has nothing to give,

At times like you  whirl through the house disrupting all and yelling about what's wrong with how you live.

These trees are strong and still standing through all the weather they have endured,

Chances like my will and love for you after you've been vile and cunning to me and my day once again you have disturbed.

These trees will again grow leaves and be beautiful with strong roots beneath to hold them up strong,

I smile while inside I am empty and torn to pieces because my beautiful daughter has let a drug rule her life and has changed her so much for the wrong.

Like the trees that will be full of leaves and thriving from the strong roots way down below,

One day our relationship will once again be bright and full of life with lots of happiness to bestow.
