How do your like your eggs
This hazy Sunday morning?
The hours lost in the folds
Of faded green cotton
Counting the lines depths
In your curved fingers
As they meld with my digits
The ghost scent of romance
A teenage dare of movement
Who will leave the comfort first?
The intimate human moment
Breaking the fast of solitude
If we sizzle the morning foods
Far past the single hours
Do we commit to continuation
Bringing in the expectations of tomorrow?
Coffee compromise, no commitments
A long day shower fills the room
Lengthening the hour into noon
No words, no troubles, just lattes
Monday... maybe... some honesty
That this is fine for breakfast
Is it dinner and family worthy?
Happy with burnt eggs and late mornings
