A time filled with joy and hardly any tears
Yes, I'm talking of childhood - the wonder years
When the heart is pure and the mind at ease
Days fun-filled and nights full of peace
Childhood - when we're full of innocence
When time flies by, amidst family and friends
No responsibility, no one to compete against
Under the unwavering shade of our loving parents
Untouched by barriers of religion, caste, and creed
Miles away from feelings of jealousy and greed
Childhood...ah, what a glorious period of life it is
Blessed as it is by our father's care and mother's kiss
Wish if money could buy me a time machine
Using which I could relive the days evergreen
Away from life's challenges and its blues
To a state of prolonged bliss, regardless of life's hues.
