A whisper of my softening glow rises up
Pulling your leafless branches into my warm loving embrace
I am here with you my children
I will give you sustenance as you flourish
Your luscious greenery will give purpose and grace
Soon Spring will be here and you will be in your full glory
The forest will come to life and you will help sustain all the critters of the field
You alone, give life breathing oxygen to your story
They will frolic and get nourishment from you as well as shelter
You will be their guide as well as their protector
I will be there in the morning to watch over you
As the seasons go by, chapters begin anew
You will be safe within my embrace
As my friend, Wind, your leaves he will shake
You will drop your greenery and doze for a bit
Always remember, I am not far away
I will kiss you with my warmth early each day
After the frozen ground melts and the earth awakens to my softening touch warmly
You will once again tell your amazing story
In all your pure transcendent glory
