A Soul Is Waiting For Your Words
There are so many poets out there whose poetry won’t be read
The words that they have written down, the things that they have said
The sounds of music from their rhymes never will be heard
No encouragement or mended hearts healed by their written word
There are so many poems written that eyes will never see
Ink locked on paper, stranded, words waiting to be free
Fear stops the heart from sharing, the mind plays its little games
What will people think of me, I’m not good enough, I am ashamed
So, words of comfort won’t be found by those who need it now
No words to heal the broken hearted, I guess they’ll survive somehow
Words on pages stained with ink written for someone unknown
Never reaching their destination, just piled up in the corner all alone
Now I just want to encourage you poets because you’re better than you think
Just take the pen and paper and share with us some ink
There is a soul that’s waiting for your words to get them through this day
Words written from the heart of a poet, healing and love are imparted this way
